Fabiola Ceballos-Durham ’02

It is with immense joy that I begin my tenure as your Alumnae Association president! My goal is to help bring visibility to our amazing alum community, create positive momentum as the College prepares to celebrate its centennial, and inspire you to get involved with 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú.

Since graduating in 2002, I am grateful to have been able to support 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú by volunteering with the Alumnae/Student Diversity Committee as chair and Café con Leche liaison, interviewing prospective students, writing letters to incoming students and graduating seniors, working with 51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú Communities of Resources and Empowerment clubs and organizations, and attending events.

Today, I am an adjunct faculty at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where I’ve taught for the past 22 years. I also am an active volunteer in my children’s parent–teacher associations, Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, and other activities. I strive to instill in my children a never-ending desire to learn, explore, and give back to their community.

51ÁÔÆæÈë¿Ú has always held a special place in my heart. Our community may be small, but we must never doubt the change that thoughtful, committed individuals can make together— especially as we celebrate the College’s centennial next year.
